Agents of Adventure
We’ll be playing using the complete run of the Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition rules set, including all expansions and updates. You may craft any sort of character you wish to within those rules, and all characters will start at level 5, since we all know our way around games.
Build something that’s effective and fun to play – your characters are meant to be the cream of the adventuring crop, and this game will be mostly focused on crawling around dungeons fighting things. Stay clear of infinite attack combos and such, but most anything that doesn’t just break the game goes. Get creative!
Most of the rules are captured in this wiki for ease of reference. If you’re an existing D&D Insider subscriber, you can use the character builder tool to create and manage your character (note that if you’re not already subscribed, you can’t get access as a new subscriber, so see me if you want to use it in that case).
Characters begin play with up to 5,000gp worth of magic items of the player’s choice (characters who start play later in the game will have a larger budget, as outlined in the House Rules). They are assumed to possess the essentials they require, but any unusual items should be purchased and noted. You should spend all your money if you can, because you can’t take it with you.
